2020 was a hell of a year
Bedlam was indeed the word for 2020 and (as of January 10) 2021 as well
What follows are the type of little-known films that tend to comprise my “Look Back in Bedlam” listings, of which this is the 1982 entry
If this year proves anything it’s that the rosy view of the eighties that has taken hold is complete bullcrap
Continuing with my Year in Bedlam year-end overviews, we arrive at 1984
It makes sense that, in what is universally acknowledged as the worst-ever decade for film, the midpoint of that decade marks its low point
Fact: anyone who says the eighties were a “golden age” for film is wrong, wrong, wrong, as the year 1986 proves quite amply
Concluding my 2019 overviews is this, the latest edition of Bedlam in Print, exploring the noteworthy publications of the previous twelve months
What is there to say about 2019? A lot, albeit not on the movie screens
