This Hong Kong shocker has attained near-legendary status among extreme movie buffs, and is indeed a shocking, traumatizing film
MEGIDDO: THE OMEGA CODE 2
One of the most ambitious evangelical films of the 00’s, although that doesn’t mean it’s any good. MEGIDDO is in fact a royal crap fest, and inexcusably shitty even by traditional evangelical movie standards.
MEGA SHARK VS. GIANT OCTOPUS
An early effort from the aptly named Asylum B-movie outfit, involving a giant shark, a giant octopus and eighties teen queen Debbie Gibson. Need I say more?
MEDIUM (1985)
This unique Polish horror thriller was a massive success in its native land. There is, however, a definite reason this film is barely known in the rest of the world!

A pleasant enough baby boomer nostalgia piece from Joe Dante, worth seeing only for its affectionate tribute to the late William Castle

A first-person serial killer novel from one of America’s finest suspense writers.
AVATAR, OR THE DOUBLE TRANSFORMATION
Theophile Gautier (1811-1972) is one of France’s most famous authors, and AVATAR, a two-part anthology comprised of the titular 1856 novella and the same year’s “Jettatura,” contains pretty much everything that comes to mind (mine at least) at the mention of French literature: sappy romance, excessively florid descriptions (“their heaving bosoms swelled out beneath their curling fringes of foam”) and an overall atmosphere of opulent refinement.
