FALLING ANGEL
One of the great modern horror novels, this is the unquestioned masterpiece of the eccentric William Hjortsberg, who’s dabbled in science fiction (GREY MATTERS), ribald comedy (TORO! TORO! TORO!) and historical speculation (NEVERMORE).
WILLY
The chilly and idiosyncratic WILLY is one of the most memorable thinking-person’s horror stories to appear in some time, and one of 2011’s standout publications.
THE EYES
It’s the first and thus far only English language collection of stories by the late Jesus Ignacio Aldapuerta, the so-called “Andalusian de Sade” who specialized in scatological excess.
